VOTES FOR WOMEN!
This wash bag is based on a 1911 vintage design by Margaret Morris, intended to illustrate the song sheet of "The March of the Women," a song dedicated to suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst. It became the anthem for the women’s suffrage movement throughout the United Kingdom and elsewhere. Activists sang it at rallies and in prison too: the composer, Ethel Smyth, reputably conducted the anthem with her toothbrush from a window of Holloway Prison. It was the feminist pop anthem of its time - sing it loud: in the shower, on the streets, or like Ethel, accompanied by a toothbrush (which you can keep safe in your new wash bag).
Let your first-wave sisters inspire you to demand women's political rights with this feminist gift.
Paint the town red! The bold design on this scarlet wash bag is a handy reminder to Keep Left – while driving on the road, while walking up an escalator, and um, no other subliminal messaging of course…
Here’s the perfect political gift for liberals, left-wingers and political enthusiasts awash with some revolutionary ideas!
