The Eco Laundry Egg was originally developed for people with sensitive skin. It has been dermatologically tested on people with sensitive skin and given the result of ‘excellent.’
If you are using in a washing machine for the first time we recommend using the detox tablets to remove residue build-up first so you get the best from your Eco Laundry Egg.

Lots of laundry detergents use petrochemical-based surfactants to help break up dirt and stains. This sounds great, but the problem is it’s not anaerobically biodegradable. After use it washes down the drain into a sewage place or a river, and if oxygen is not present, it does not biodegrade. Most detergents also contain phosphates, but unfortunately, when released into waterways these can lead to algal blooms that stifle fish and other aquatic life.
The Eco Laundry Egg helps to reduce your plastic use. Once you’ve used your Laundry Egg for around 70 washes, you can buy Refill Laundry Egg Pellets which allow you to use the egg over and over again.
The Eco Laundry Egg is suitable for vegans and is cruelty-free. Made without any testing or cruelty to animals, and without any animal derivatives, the Eco Laundry Egg is suitable for use by vegans.
HOW TO USE
Hand Wash: Simply place the egg to soak in water for 5-10 minutes then handwash as normal. The Laundry Egg can be used from 15 to 60 degrees Celsius.
Washing Machine: Simply open your Laundry Egg and fill the larger half of the egg with the two types of mineral pellets. Close your egg so that it ‘clicks’ and place it in your washing machine on top of your laundry.
Tip: To to get the best results from your Eco Egg it is recommended to use a EcoEgg Washing Machine detox tablet to remove any built up residue from laundry conventional liquids and powders. Get yours here.
